Trying to contact relatives of the above family that lived on Stephonson Ave. for many years. Parents were John (1870) and Bertha (b 1873) both in Norway. Children were Julia (b 1900) may have become a teacher, Oscar (1903) married to Bernice (they had at least one child Ralph born 1926) Norman (b 1906) Robert (born 1914 ) Norman and Robert enlisted on September 9, 1942 to serve in the US Army.

The family had a blacksmith shop and a food market.

Edward Thank you very much for sending the obituary information. I thought that John was married to my grandmother's sister, however her name was Bertha (nee) Petersen. The Olson name has me doubting that Bertha is related to me.

There is no need to send the entire obituary now since I might have been tracing the wrong family.

Did the obituary mention the cemetery that John would have been interred in ? If it was mentioned would you please advise me of the name and/or location.

Edward I am not sure if the Matinsen's are related to me. I thought Bertha's maiden name was Petersen however the obit said Olson.
