I am looking for a Witherell in Michigan. Was Capt. John Witherell married? I have a Raymond Witherell born 1838 in Michigan. Removed to Butler,Wayne co. New York. Raymond went to live with his Uncle Darius Witherell. I can not find any leads in Michigan for Raymond.

I found your John Witherell,born 1836, in N.Y., in the 1900 census,in Muskegon,Michigan.He was married to Cynthia,born 1843.3 children.

Thank you for your reply. I am looking for any reference to a John Witheral Senior, who he married ???, and John Jr. was listed on a census in 1840 in Michigan, anywhere. I think john's mother lived untill about 1848. John was removed to Butler, New York to live with his Uncle Darius. The Census for 1855 New York shows Ray Witheral with his Uncle.I looking for John Witherel Jr born 1811 Ontario Co., New York. Married to xxxxx, child is Raymond born 1838 in Michigan,John Jr died a few months later in 1838.
