I am looking for information on petersons and gustafsons in Carney, Nadaeu, and Menominee. Some of the early peterson names are Bengt and Christina, Gust and Blanda, Alfred, Josephine, Charles. the gustafson names are August Augusta Blanda. If anyone has any information on any of these people I would appreciate it Thank you.

I have a Berard Gustafson who married a Emma Berth Witrick, they lived in the same area you talked about in your post.

I also found August and his wifes name was actually Marie. his kids were Blanda, Ernest, Halvor, and Iner. I have also found a Rudolph and Matt. do any of these names sound familiar? My great grandfather was Charles Gustafson who married Elsie Peterson. They were both from Sweden. There marriage took place June 4, 1884 apparently in Chicago area, and later moved to Polk County, Crookston,. IL. They ended up in Central California Stockton/Patterson area. Four daughters Nellie, Jennie, Tillie, and my grandmother Clara-all born in IL & MN. Does that seem like the same family? I now nothing about the either side of these families otherwise!

Hi, Just saw your message even tho it is 7 years old. My grandfather and grandmother are Gust and Blanda Peterson. Great grandparents are Bengt and Christina and August and Augusta Gustafson. In fact my middle name is Gust after my maternal Grandfather. The family moved from Carney to Wallace when my mother was quite young. I have a number of Aunts and Uncles still alive who would know more than me. There are still Gustafson's in the Carney area who are related. Hope this gets out to you.
