Agnes Mae Boyle, 96, of Alpena passed away January 22, 2017, at Medi Lodge of Hillman.

Agnes Mae Cota was born on March 10, 1920, in Powers, Michigan to the late George and Mary (Nolde) Cota. On May 1, 1948, she married Thomas A. Boyle. He preceded her in death on September 10, 1979. Agnes was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church for over 50 years. She was an avid reader who read hundreds, perhaps thousands, of books over the years and especially liked mystery novels. Agnes was a dedicated mother and homemaker who had a strong belief in God and the Christian faith.

Surviving are her 2 sons, Patrick (Barb) Boyle of Alpena, Larry (Debra) Boyle of Spruce; daughter-in-law, Laura Boyle; 7 grandchildren, Steven, Lisa, Sierra, Bryan, Zachary, Heather, Mary; and 17 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Boyle was preceded in death by her 2 sons, Michael Boyle, Brian Boyle; and 2 sisters, Frances Mullin and Margaret Cota.

Visitation will take place on Friday at St. Anne Church of All Saints Parish from 10 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon with Rev. Polycarp Mblarawa officiating.

Interment: Spalding Township Cemetery, Powers, Michigan
