I would love to see some information about the old cemeteries in Mason County!!!! I have seen such wonderful things, including the "cemetery walks" throughout the country, I am getting greedy, I'm afraid...I am looking for more information on the BEEBE and WILEY families from this area, and have information that there is a cemetery on a hill about 10 miles south of US 10 on US 31 where my gggrandfather is buried. His name is HIRAM BEEBE. My information says he donated the land for the cemetery from his own property, along with some for a school and a church. He is reportedly buried in this cemetery, having died May 30, 1886 at the age of 45. There is an epitaph on his stone, "Farewell my wife and children all. From you a father Christ doth call. Mourn not for me, it is in vain, To call me to your sight again." Does anyone have information about this family or this cemetery?
