I am looking for any information on a John or Johnny Crawford, who was born about 1940 and lived at the Holy Family Orphanage in Marquette as a child. His birth mother was Dorothy Crawford. We know that he moved to the south as an adult, and drowned in the mid 70s. Any information would be appreciated. Does anyone know where to get records from the orphanage there?

I've never looked up any records regarding the orphanage, but there is an archive and archivist for the Diocese of Marquette.
Their website states "We have parish histories, parish files, and entities owned and run by the diocese, such as the Assinins Orphanage and the Holy Family Orphanage."
So, I would start there, if possible?
