Have you found out anything yet?? If not, as an outsider looking in, I have a couple of suggestions... First of all, I would go to the newspapers in the towns that are prominent to your search and see if they will do an article. Even maybe one of the larger Detroit papers. Also, did you post anything on the Chubb message board? Another little trick... on acid free paper with an acid free pen (can find those at Walmart in sewing dept or any scrapbooking store) and write a very short note--really to the point. While the county clerk is not looking stick it in with the mother's death certificate in Macomb (not Lansing). Something else that has helped was visiting the old home and talking to the new owners. Let them know you are trying to find these people. Write your information down on paper and a little about who you are looking for (in case the people move and the new owners can know what you are doing as well). You never know when (or if) someone will go there. Long shots, but it worked for me. Good luck!!
