First time poster to this site. Not sue how to navigate. Trying to respond to Cheri-Eck regarding Mackinac Band.
First: J Causley is no longer associated with the Mackinac Band. As an active member of the Mackinac Band, I would like to extend an apology for past experiences in your relationship with the Band. Thanks to the governance and administration under the previous board, the Band lost sight of it's mission and alienated numerous individuals who rightfully identified with their Mackinac Band heritage.
Penniless and woefully understaffed (and always mindful of not stepping on the toes of neighboring Bands) we have refocused our resources and our intentions:
To pursue federal acknowledgment by informing the historical record. By all means we welcome your(everyone) contribution. I look forward to hearing from you Cheri.

I'm not familiar at all with how this forum/message board works (will I hear from you by e-mail or do I need to revisit this thread?) At any rate, I'm excited to hear from you (anyone) regarding the history of the Mackinac Band. (especially the 40's, 50's, 60's and especially the "Northern Michigan Ottawa Association located in Petoskey Michigan during the same decades)

Oh, and finally (and why I came here in the first place)
Frank Muscoe and Wa Pa Ku Na Wa Quay had 12 children, many who died at young ages. Christine (my grandmother) and Mitchell's extended families are accounted for, but I am inquiring about Issac, Moses, George Muscoe's decendents. Your Mitchell and Christine cousins are looking for you.
