I am looking for an obit that would give the last names of the daughters of Mildred A. Erickson (d. 21 May 2003 in St. Ignace) and/or Conrad W. Erickson (d. 20 Aug 1960 in Clark Township) First names of daughters are Dolores (b. 1932) and Barbara (b. 1938). A cousin from Stockholm, Sweden seeks this information on her family in America

Contact www.stignacenews. This is a weeklly publication and should have info you seek. Try the St. Ignace Public Library (906)643-8318. Their archives have records of old papers and I've always found them very helpful. Hope this helps.

Thank you so much for your reply. I have tried both these suggestions and have not had luck so far. Perhaps they are too busy during this summer season. The Cedarville Cemetery has provided the names and vital dates for Mildred and Conrad Erickson but no additional information. I continue to hope for an obituary.
Sincere thanks
Diane

Les Cheneaux is publisihed weekly in the St. Ignace News. Written by Helen Shoberg it covers Cedarville newsworthy events such as births, weddings and deaths. She can be reached at (906)484-2626 or by e-mail at helenshoberg@centurytel.net. Probably lifelong resident of this area she could have answers for you. Good luck.

Dear Ruthie,
Thank you so much for your help and interest. Just yesterday I tried calling the St. Ignace Library and someone there did the search for me. She found the obituary that I was hoping for. So when I receive it, I will forward it to my cousin in Stockholm. It was also nice of you to give me the contact information for Helen Shoberg. I will keep it in case we need additional information.
Once again, I thank you so much for your kindness.
Sincerely,
Diane

Dear Diane:
I"m very happy for you. I research the many branches of my family and appreciate information received from other helpful researchers. Many of my ancestors lived in Michigan's UP. I was raised in St. Ignace and have always kept in touch with friends and family.
Your success has made this a very special 92nd birthday for me. Ruthie.

To Ruthie, you must have begun in 1907, which makes it possible you would have known of Ferguson and Addie Maguire of the Island and their children, Lawrence, Harland, Gladys, and Marguerite. Yes? No?
