Looking for info and family/school pictures of Clarence (Sonny) Lamb of the Newberry/ McMillan area in the 301s. His Mother was Wanda Mundt, divorced from Odell Lamb. Sonny was killed off the Solomon Islands on 5 July 1943 while serving as a gunner on the Sestroyer Strong (DD-467). Sonny never got the heros recognition that he deserves. Wanda later married a Mr. Zieter and they lived in Flint during the war. Sonny`s cousin on his Mothers side will write a book on Sonny if we get enough info and pictures. Thank all of you very much.
