I, too, went to "Camp House on the Hill" for two week sessions, but in the late 1940's. It was a wonderful private girl's camp. My memories are of uniforms of red shorts/white blouses on weekdays and white shorts/white blouses on Sundays. I can't remember the nice lady's name, maybe it was Liz, that ran it. We swam in the lake, learned to play tennis, did crafts in the porch of a cottage where counselors stayed and ate in a big room of a house that was otherwise occupied by the owner of the camp. The camper's cabins consisted of one room with lots of bunk beds and a common bathroom. My memory is sketchy as I was 8 years old when I started going there (now 74).
