Katie was the daughter of philip according to the census reports. She had a brother Jacob and Philip. On her marraige license her father is listed only as " Hassencahl". In the 1870 census a "Jacob" and "philip" are listed as neighbors but then I haven't followed the "Jacob" side on down. Philip is my grandfather a few times back. My father and his father were both John C Hassencahl. I'm still confused about these brothers as well
