I am looking for information regarding Eloise Hospital. My Great great Aunt Nettie Smith Norvell died there. According to family history, she had contracted syphilis from her husband and ended up at this hospital, She supposedly died from this disease, blind and insane.

Could anyone tell me what type of hospital this was, where it was located and where I can find records of her stay?
