Article in Cass City newspaper 1914, link below, states Hiram W Brown is oldest continuous resident of Michigan. His father hauled the first printing plant to Lapeer. Hiram helped clear the first clearing near Watrousville.

SeekingMichigan.org death certificate has Hiram Madison Brown, b. 16 July 1931, NY, d. 15 Jun 1918, burial Vassar, father Beverly Brown. Vassar burial records have mother listed as "Filey" Brown.

Looking for more details on this family. We only find Beverley Brown in the 1840 census.
