My great grandfather was Martin & wife Vicka
came to US in 1905 from Croatia.Worked Copper mines as far as I can find.Was in Houghton cty in 1920 census and Keweenaw in 1930 census.Lived in Michigan almost his whole life but died in Wis.in 1955, not sure if he lived in Wis tho.I have most the info on his kids already but would like to know more about him and his wife.I have seen names of other Matayas on the ship manifest and in the Mich area.Were any of them siblings to Martin or Vicka.Would like to know any info on his or her parents.I think his parents are Anton & Anna but have no clue on her parents names.I think her maiden name was Mataya also.Maybe they came from the same town and all names were Mataya???
