Cliff Mine and Catholic records from 1838-1870

I need to do research in Catholic records in the Cliff Mine area of Keeweenaw. I sent an inquiry with a "donation" to the Catholic mission there at the suggestion of the Arch Diocese and never heard back after two years. Does anyone know how to access these?? Family names are Bodie (Edward) and Hannah Cannon who were married by then Bishop Baraga (the snowshoe priest). I know there were other Bodies there and all were Catholic. They also worked the Cliff Mine from about the start to about 1870. Edward and Hannah were the only ones with land records. I hope to make a trip to the university in MI that carries the mining records. But the Catholic records should have female info. I think they were Irish, Edward was from French Canada, though he admits Irish decent.
