My Grandmother was Lena Ouding. Her Mother
was Elizabeth Hoogstra and her father was
Harm Ouding. Elizabeth Hoogstra's Mother's
maiden name was Zylman. The Hoogstras and
the Zylmans came from Friesland I was told.
The Oudings were from both Friesland and
Groningen. I'm not sure if there is any
connection with Henry Zylman, however. I
think the name is Zijlman (in Fries or Dutch).
