Your posts are accurate for what we have experienced in our search. Our relative was last known in the Kalamazoo state hospital in 1931. Some probate records are in her home town. We have not yet found a death record or what happened to her after 1931. We have verbally been told conflicting stories. She was born before 1900. Has anyone gone through the process of declaring a person deceased?
