Ralph passed away Tuesday morning, November 3, 2009 at Borgess Medical Center. He was born April 29, 1929 in
Cleveland, OH, the son of Ralph Sr. and Gertrude (
Scheetz)
Tomlinson. Ralph resided in S. Lincoln, VT with his family until he joined the United States
Army serving during the Korean Conflict. On January 3, 1953, he was united in marriage to Betty Wilgenhof. Ralph was employed by
Balkema Inc. for 25 years until his retirement in 1991. Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Betty Tomlinson; their four children, Rose
Brenner (Richard
Freeman) of Kalamazoo, Michael (Deborah)
Tomlinson of
Schoolcraft, Jeffrey (Sally)
Tomlinson of
Portage, and Bryan (Connie) Tomlinson; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Paul (Sally)
Tomlinson of Glendale; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents; two sisters, Marquita and Marie Tomlinson; and two brothers, Benjamin and Robert
Tomlinson. Friends may visit with the family from 5-8 PM on Thursday (tomorrow) at
