Passed away Friday evening, June 5, 2009. Carol was born July 12, 1940 in Kalamazoo the daughter of Seth and Marvel (Whipple) Stockwell. Prior to her retirement she worked in healthcare as a CNA. Carol was a member of the Portage Moose and the Portage VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed doing various crafts and spending time with her family. She is survived by three children, Vanessa (Jon) McKibbin of Edwardsburg, MI, Darlene Correll of Kalamazoo, Anthony (Debbie) Correll of Plainwell; grandchildren, Danielle, Kristin, Crystal, Ben, Beth, Lisa, Tony, Jonny, Brittany, Lee, Brad, and Taylor; great-grandchildren, Gavin, Lexi, Nathan, and Amon; two sisters, Eileen Waite, Wanda (Preston) Arnold; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held 4:00 o'clock Wednesday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick with Rev. Jim Dyke officiating. Friends may meet the family Tuesday evening from 6-8 PM at the chapel. Memorials may be directed to the Portage Senior Center. www.langelands.com
