Cam passed away suddenly Tuesday evening, July 24, 2007 doing what he loved best riding his Harley. He was born October 3, 1980 in Kalamazoo, the son of Garry and Marykaye (Locklin) Blasius and lived his life to the fullest from the time of his birth until the time of his death. Cam was a graduate of Portage Northern High School and recently graduated 5th in his class at the Motorcycle Mechanic Institute in Arizona. He was an avid motorcycle fanatic and was currently working as a certified Harley-Davidson mechanic at Diggers Speed Shop. Cam was a true friend to everyone he met and will be dearly missed by all of his family and friends. Surviving are his parents, Garry and Marykaye Blasius of Kalamazoo; his fiancée, Ashley Green and their beloved son, Cody Lee Blasius of Kalamazoo; his brother, Kenny Blasius of Kalamazoo; a grandfather, Gene Blasius of Three Rivers; and a multitude of extended family and friends. The family will receive friends on Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street . A Service to celebrate Cam's life will be held 11:00 AM Saturday at the Westside Chapel with Dr. Nancy Bailey, officiating. A private interment will be held at a later date in Centreville Cemetery. The family suggests, in lieu of flowers, memorials in Cam's memory may be made to an educational fund for his son Cody (envelopes available at the funeral home) or to the American Motorcycle Association. 343-1508 www.langelands.com
