Thank you for replying. My name is Susanne Hoogendoorn-Darcell, I was born and in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Unfortunately my grandfather died when I was 7 and we moved to California when I was 13 so I didn't get to know a lot about my ancestry. My grandfather married twice and had 14 children, my father Roy Nelson Hoogendoorn was from his second marriage. I have a picture of the whole family when he was about 8. You say you got back to the 1500's , amazing. I've tried to get info from the netherlands, but was unsuccessful, not knowing where my grandfather was from. I was amazed I had a cousin in New Zealand.
