I have recently discovered that SAMUEL WESSELS b. May 15, 1789 lived in Ingham Twp, Ingham Co, MI. Samuel married POLLY BRYANT and had the following children: 1. MARY P. WESSELS m. unknown (3 children listed); 2.SAMUEL BOON WESSELS m. Eliza CRAWFORD; 3. DORCAS WESSELS m. WILLIAM WEST; 4. SARAH ANN WESSELS m. WASHINGTON BEEMAN; 5. JOHN WESSELS unm; 6. WILLIAM E. WESSELS m. MARGARET WEMPLE.

Samuel is the son of Samuel Wessels and Hannah Boon of Morristown, New Jersey. Samuel (of N.J.) had a brother JOSEPH WESSELS. I have researched Joseph and his descendants and have a web page at the following address: http://www.erols.com/herman

I am trying to determine who the parents of Joseph and Samuel are....with no luck:-(

Samuel of Ingham County b. 1789 is listed in the 1830, 1840 and 1870 Ingham Census. I have only an index listing for the last. Wessels family members are buried in Mount Hope Cemetery, Maple Grove Cemetery and Howard Cemetery.

I would like to make contact with anyone researching this family or anyone knowing anything about this family.
