wanting to hire a researcher for Huron County

Classification: Query
Surnames: Hamacher, Jones
I am looking for an inexpensive researcher to help complete the records for my family in that county.

Am willing to pay reasonable rate for death record for Elizabeth (nee Jones) Hamacher who died 5 March 1897 in Meade, Huron Co, Michigan. I want a certified copy of her death record, will pay for it, your time and travel expenses.

Further, would like a copy of her obituary if one still exists in a newspaper archive, a photo of her headstone, with the cemetery name and location of grave marked on back, as well as other items to be discussed once this person is found and completed. She had children that died in that county as well, and am interested in their information.

Please contact me directly before beginning. Am not willing to pay three times for the same information. You can contact me at RBeghtel@aol.com or Mary at MQuiltr2@aol.com. We are both working on the same family line, together.

Elizabeth's husband was Noah Hamacher. The family surname can be found spelled various ways depending on the record, so could have been spelled Haymaker, Hammacher, Hamacker, etc.

Elizabeth was born 8 Jan 1843 in Middlesex, Ontario, Canada. She married Noah Hamacher, son of Peter Hammacher and Mary Bock, 4 March 1859 in Usborne Township, Huron County, Ontario, Canada.

I have found Noah in the 1900 census, Huron County, Michigan, and in 1910 he had remarried to Zella or Gella Peterman, and I am hopeful that someone can find me that marriage record. They had a baby girl, named Wilhelmina Beatrice Hamacher that appears to have been born in Huron County, Michigan. She married after her father died in South Haven, Van Buren County, Michigan in 1924.

I found Noah's grave site with the help of a wonderful researcher that works with the US GENWEB in that county. When we made the thousand mile journey to that county over this past summer, I was dismayed to find Noah had no headstone to mark his grave. So have bought him a brand new headstone and it is now in place at Lakeview Cemetery, South Haven, Van Buren County, Michigan. I now want to locate Elizabeth's grave site, and determine if I need to either replace or purchase a head stone for her gravesite. Not rich, just feel a sense of duty to our ancestors. So an important part of this research will be to find her burial location and visit the site to determine quality of gravesite. I realize that winter weather can slow down the progress of this type of hands on research, but can not make the trip personally. My home was damaged extensively durring Hurricane Ivan in Sept of 2004, and this summer may require my staying home to repair the property once the insurance company gets around to paying for the damages on the claim.

Mary and I enjoy doing the research ourselves, and visiting the old stomping grounds of our fore fathers and foremothers. Mary is very into American History and what life was like for these ancestors, so biographical type material is important to her particular research. We are working together on our mutual family trees. This project may become extensive before it is exhausted for this particular area, so please do not respond if you are expensive, not patient, or not willing to dig for various sorts of information. She gets her information from Church records, old town records and archived newspaper articles, while I profer standard documents. We share expenses.

Hope to hear from you soon, so we can pick our researcher and get this project underway soon.
