REDFORD, Mich. - Helen Gilbert of Redford, Mich. passed away Thursday June 11, 2009.

Helen was born in Ramsay, Mich. She resided in Painesdale and graduated from Jeffers High School, later moving to the Detroit area in 1952, where she has resided since.
Mrs. Gilbert is survived by her husband of 62 years, Ed; son, Brian of Arizona; grandchildren, Jamie and Brandon; and brother Allan (Linda) Tuomaala of Royal Oak, Mich.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Wilho and Fanny Tuomaala and sister, Allie Lindstrom.
Memorial Services will be Friday, June 26, at 11 a.m. at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 23425 Lahser Road, Southfield, Mich., 48034.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Church or to the Finnish Center Association.
