Looking for the grave of Frank Wabler (Warbler, Wabbler) 03/08/1894 - 04/30/1912, death resulting from injury at C&H Mine 04/19/1912. Death certificate shows buried on 05/02/1912 at Lakeview Cemetery. If anyone goes there and can get a picture of the grave, please post here. Might be buried near his grandmother (unsure of exact death year, mid-1890s, and unsure if buried here) Elizabeth (Bertha) Schnettler Elias b.1830, wife of Nicholas Elias.

For those of you that are not familiar with the site findagrave.com, it is a wonderful place to find information about people, see pictures of the people and grave markers. You can also create a memorial, no charge for any of this. After you create the memorial, you can request a photograph of the headstone. People all over the world provide acts of genealogical kindness and take photos of headstones. I do it in Los Angeles California, and most recently had help in Florida for pictures I requested. I currently have several requests for Lakeview Cemetery, Maple Hill Cemetery, and another in the Houghton area.

are there two Lakeside cemetaries or did you mean Houghton County?
I just attended a funeral service at Lakeside cemetary in Hancock, MI (across Portage Lake from Houghton, MI). Hancock is in Houghton County though

I can't find any Bertan names in the census for Houghton county. What dates are you referring to?

Joseph Bertan son and Anna Bertan were both buried in Lakeview Cemetery. I believe that Anna and son were buried in the family cemetery. Bertonia, may have been the madien name. Thank you for your help. I will try calling the cemetery and getting the dates to both of the deaths. Vicki

You have to call the cemetery and ask. They charge me
for lookups so I cannot call. Google the cemetery and you will find the phone number.
