The obituary notice incorrectly lists Diana Pixley's birthplace as Saratoga county, NY, it was Clarkson, Monroe county, NY May 19, 1829. It states that her parents moved to Wright, Hillsdale county, Mich., in 1836, settling on the farm at the foot of Lime Lake when there were only two or three families in the township. It further states that she married Ambrose M. Burroughs, March 10, 1856 and that of this union, all are still living. After 4 years of marriage they moved back to the old (Pixley) homestead where she spent the remainder of her life, dying at the home of her daughter Phena (Tryphena) Kime Sept 12, 1906. Her funeral was conducted by her son Charles H Burroughs and the body buried in the Prattville cemetery. She was one of the charter members of the Prattville Congegrational Church.
