Looking for information on Adelbert Foster. Verbal family history suggests that he was born about 1861 in Oswego NY. However, he married Effie Hawkins (b Jan 17, 1866) in Gratiot Co., Michigan. They had a daughter, Caroline (Carrie) (b. 5 March 1889) also born in Gratiot, Co. Any information would be appreciated.He would be my Great Great Grandfather. Does anyone have any information on him. I cannot find out where he died. I think after Effie died he may have remarried Lodista Adams Sweeney. They were only married a few years and they divorced in 1900. I can find no trace of him after this and before he married Effie Hawkins in 1883. I also found him in the 1880 Gratiot county Michigan Census working as a farm hand but he shows up nowhere before this either.
