Mark Caywood was my great-grandfather. He was born February 19, 1887, in Bethany Township, Gratiot County, Michigan, to Eugene and Eugenie (Clark) Caywood, and died February 21, 1973, in St. Louis, Gratiot County, Michigan. Eugene and Eugenie were originally from the Finger Lakes area of New York. Mark married my great-grandmother, Lora Fern Dick, on December 14, 1911, in Breckenridge, Gratiot County, Michigan. Their children were Thelma Caywood Gorsuch (my grandmother), Eugene Dick Caywood, and Elizabeth "Betty" Caywood Bristol. They are all buried in Ridgelawn Cemetery in Breckenridge, Gratiot County, Michigan, except for Uncle Dick, who is buried in Stockton, California.
