Looking for information about Anna Matilda AYERS and Henry J. LEGRAFF who were married on Oct 14, 1868, in Peninsula Twp, Grand Traverse County. Any info would be appreciated. Would especially like to know who their parents were.

I don't think we're talking about the same person but there is probably some connection. Anna AYERS was born c. 1849 in Waterloo, NY (Seneca County). She married Henry LEGRAFF on Oct 14, 1868, in Peninsula Twp, Grand Traverse County. I do not have names of either Anna or Henry's parents.

Any chance your Anna's first name was actually Analize. I have an Analize Ayers born in 1842 and living in Peninsula Twnsp, Grand Traverse County from 1850. Her parents were Willis and Sarah Ayers. She had a sister Clotilda and a brother William. Possibly a sister, Catherine that died in 1950. If this is of any help, you can email me for more information.

I would like to hear from you as I too am a desendant of the Ayers family from Old Mission Peninsula,Grand traverse County. My father was Charlie Ayers who is the son of Geroge Albert Ayers. There were 13 children in their family. My Great Grandfather also from that region had 17 children. His name was William Leander Ayers. I remember seeing your name somewhere in my past research.
Write back if you have time so we can throw some names at each other.
P.S. I still here here in northern michigan.
Sincerely Bonnie Ayers (Phillips

I am researching Anna Matilda Ayers born 1849-1850 NY. Thus far, I have that her father was William Ayers born 1819 and her mother was Matilda ?

Anna Matilda's second marriage was Henry LeGraff 14 Oct. 1868. I understand there were four marriages.

Please contact me. Anita

I am also an Ayers decendent from the peninsula. My great-great-grandfather was William Ayers. We've been out to see his old house before and to the cemetery where he is buried. My mom has quite a lot of information on the Ayers family and would be happy to share.

Anna was the sister of my great-great grandfather. My mom has some information on her and more on the extended Ayers family that I'm sure she would love to share.
