Looking for gr-grandmother's death date in Traverse City on or around 1893-1910.Had 5 children,William, Mary M, Anna Kate,Margaret and John. Born 1862 in Lorain County Oh, Married John Hendges Jul 3 1880 in Allegan County Mi.It is assumed she is buried in Traverse City, but unable to locate.Can anyone help?

Sarah J. Newton does not appear on the 1870 census anywhere.

1900 - cannot locate this family in MICH or OH.

Need DOB's + birthplaces for all children.

Have you considered that Sarah may have died "on the way to Canada"??

hi Thomas-Yes it was a thought that Sarah died in route to Canada, but 11/18/97 thru 06/30/99, the children were taken by father John to the St. Johns Childrens home in Grand Rapids. I do have that he and 2nd wife Emma were married in Immaculate Concption Church Jan 20 1908. There is a variation of Hentges too. I appreciate your help on Sarah-this has been my brick wall for quite a long time.
