Could someone let me now where the Newport Hospital was located? I think it was between Bessemer and Ironwood. My sister was born there and I would like to find the location of it. I am sure that it no longer exists. I just need to know the area that it was in. Thanks.

I believe your looking for the one in Newport Location which is a mining location of Ironwood. If it is the one I have driven past, the building is still standing. I was told it once served the medical needs of families living in the Newport Mine location. The building is not in use and is located on a back street of sorts. Best way to get there would be to turn at the new Wal-Mart, drive past it and past the golf course to the stop sign. Continue on straight till you come to a fork in the road before the old Mine and take the right fork. Follow this past the homes till it looks like your running out of road and it will be sitting on your left. Its not a very large brick building, but you can't miss it.
