Cecilia GALBRAITH, 86, of Indian River, died Thursday, Nov. 4, at Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey. Visitation and funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 7, at Lintz Funeral Home, Indian River. The Rev. Deacon John Wallace of the Cross In The Woods officiated and burial will be in Ohioville Cemetery.
Cecilia was born Nov. 22, 1912, in Detroit, the daughter of Francis and Helen (YETKE) WISIOLOWSKI. She grew up in Detroit and attended Catholic school in Detroit, graduating in 1930.
On June 26, 1935, she married Clarence J. GALBRAITH in Detroit, where the couple made their home.
In 1967, the couple moved to Indian River. Mr. GALBRAITH preceded her in death in August 1997. Cecilia continued to make her home in Indian River and was a member of Cross In The Woods.
She is survived by children: Beverly IRONSIDE and her husband, Charles, of Harbor Springs; Elaine STRUK and her husband, Andrew, of Punta Gorda, Fla.; Dr. Dennis GALBRAITH of Columbia, S.C.; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; her brother, Harry WISIOLOWSKI of Dearborn; a sister, Clara PYSKA of Dearborn. She was preceeded in death by two sons, Hubert and Delbert; a sister, Bernice ZUZAK; and three brothers, Alex, Ray and Ted WISIOLOWSKI.
The family suggests memorials to the Womens Resource Center.
