Winona, thanks so much! Do you know what Russell's middle name was? His mother Emma M. Austin was my great grandmother's (Frances Isadore Austin) sister. Emma and "Franc" had a brother, George Washington Austin, and another sister, Carrie J. Their parents were Pollard Austin (1825-1899) and Harriet P. Alger (1838-1871). Pollard's mother was Abigail Boher, per his death certificate. Father was unknown. Harriet Alger's parents were Ogden M. Alger and Harriet Luddington. I haven't got any farther on Ogden, but with Harriet I can go back to England.
