I don't know anything about the Warner family beyond what I've sent.
Emma was born in Michigan, probably Van Buren County. That's in the southwest quarter of the lower peninsula, immediately west of Kalamazoo county. I'm curious where she met William Warner, and where they married! I have her birth date as Apr 1871. She had 3 older sibs: Frances Isadore, 13 Jul 1862-11 Nov 1822, born in Van Buren (VB) county and died in Pentwater, Oceana, MI; George Washington, Feb 1865 (MI)-11 May 1947 (VB). He and his wife actually died in the Van Buren County Poorhouse; and Carrie J. 26 Jul 1868 (MI)-4 Apr 1933 (MI). Emma's parents were Pollard Austin 6 Apr 1825 (Seneca County, NY)-28 Dec 1899 (Bloomingdale, VB, MI)died of old age, cystitis, according to death cert., and Harriet P. Alger 5 May 1861 (OH)-15 May 1871 (Gobles, VB, MI) died of consumption. Pollard remarried 7 years after her death to a Julia F. Ingerson Cader (her second marriage also). They didn't have any children. I have a copy of Pollard's death certificate; it lists mother Abigail H. Bohrer and father unknown. Harriet's parents were Ogden M. Alger and Harriet Luddington.

The info about William and Lottie being unable to care for the boys and them being raised by neighbors named Johnson or Johnston was extremely interesting. Francis Isadore married George Llewellyn Buck and they had 3 children (my grandmother Sidney Irene Buck being one). Their oldest daughter Mable was living with Emma and William Warner according to census of 1900. By 1906 Mable had been married, had a daughter named Margaret, and died. She married a man named David Johnston! I wonder if he was the neighbor William and Lottie's boys were raised by?
