Patricia A. DUNCAN, 68
Former area resident Patricia A. DUNCAN, 68, of East
Lansing, passed away with tremendous courage and grace after a long battle with cancer.
Pat was a resident of
Petoskey and
Harbor Springs from 1969-1977.
She was born Feb. 1, 1932, in Detroit.
She retired from the State of
Michigan and recently worked for
Sparrow Health System and
MacDonald Middle School. Pat was a deacon of Eastminster Presbyterian Church in East
Lansing, where she established their Hope Closet program.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Viola (
BARTON)
FORBES, and brother, John
FORBES.
Pat is survived by two daughters, Julie TODTER of Fremantle, Australia, and Ann
DUNCAN (Ed
POCOCK) of Detroit; one son, John
DUNCAN, of Chicago; one sister, Catherine
JONES, of Haslett; one sister-in-law, June
FORBES, of Monroe; and three cherished grandchildren, Amy
FOX, Jeremy TODTER and
Colin POCOCK.
Memorial service will be 3 p.m. Saturday, April 22, at Eastminster Presbyterian Church, 1315
Abbott Road, East
Lansing, with the Rev. William L. Love, interim pastor, officiating. There will be no visitation.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hope Closet Program, in care of Eastminster Presbyterian Church.
The family is being served by the Gorsline-Runciman Co., Lansing
Chapel.
