Looking for information on my paternal grandparents: Francisco (Frank) Micalizzi and Agatina (Agata) Todorso or Todor, or Totor, or Todaso. They immigrated from Italy (Sicily?) around 1900 and moved to Iron Mountain, MI. They had 7 children: Nicholas (1906-1974), Samuel (1907-1976), Benjamin (1911-1970), Nancy (1909-1971), Josephine (?-?), Lena (?-?), and Rose (?-?). Moved to Binghamton, NY around 1914.

Any information would be apprectiated.

I have info on Francesco Micalizzi and Agatina Todaro of Nizza Sicily. He came over in 1903 and she came over in 1905. I would like to trade any info. I live in the Binghamton area where most of the Micalizzi's are located.

I tried to locate Francesco in the 1910 Michigan census, but could not. Supposedly, my father was born in Iron Mountain, MI in 1906 and they moved to NY around 1914. Do you have any information on the ancestors of Francesco and Agatina? Do you know when and where they were married?

I have some information on the Micalizzi's in the Binghamton area, but I don't know where you fit in.

My husbands Father was Sam ,Nicks' brother.Sam was born
and Baptized in Iron River,Gaastra, Michigan,{1907] We
want to know if there are any relatives still in Sicily?
Adatina [Todorso or Dotore] family had vineyards ,we've been
told.

Hello cousins. I have not been able to locate any relatives in Sicily. In Grandpa's obit it stated there was a sister still living in Italy, but no name. I have posted on a Sicilian site, but have not heard anything. My brother (Donald) son's Randy has been researching the family too, but not much luck either. Grandma's maiden name was Todaro and her mother was apparently a Puglisi - all from Sicily. My email is eandam@msn.com. I have quite a bit of information on the family, but can't get much from the old country. Good to hear from you.

I did receive a reply from my Sicliy posting. It mainly told me to find an address and send off letters (in Italian) to suspected relatives. I'm not sure where any of them are - other than Sicily. Do you have a database to keep your Genealogy information in? I use Family Tree Maker, version 9, and find it fairly easy to use. I have over 300 names in 4 different family trees, so I can find the information fairly quickly. Still trying to confirm as much of it as possible. I did find the Micalizzi's in the 1910 MI census and the 1920 NY census. Also found some information in the Binghamton City Directories once they moved to NY. Still trying to determine when and where they were married and Naturalized. I have married in 1905 in Sicily, but not confirmed. Still trying though.
