I am searching for any information on my g.grqndparents ADOLPH AND JOHANNA MELIN. They came from Sweden,met and married in Escanaba,Michigan. They married October12,1885. My grandmother, Laura Teressa Melin was born to them in Escanaba in July,1888. They lived in Escanaba for more than 5 years before moving to Skanee, Michigan. Would there be a marriage record?? I know there is not a birth record of my Grandma,how about a baptismal record?? They were luthern. My g.grandma worked in a rooming house. My g.grandpa, I think worked on the docks. He was a very strong man. Would there be any work records there?? Is there any records in Escanaba on my g.grandparents?? Any information would be greatly appriciated.
