to whom this may concern,
do you have any information on a school teacher from 1910 that taught at the Pere Cheney School house? My name is Jessica Lynn Abbe, I am 17 years old, My Great-Great-Great-Grandfather was Ed Clover, and the Clover family was one of the last family's in Pere Cheney. My Great Grandfather Beryl Clover was also born in Pere Cheney and moved to Mio when he was 6 years old. But I am really curious about the school teacher, I have a picture of her, she has black hair up in a bun, very dark eyes, tall, and thin, almost like a witch, but I would like more info if you have it. Anything, who she was, how she died, who her family is. Please, this is important to me. Thank you, Jessica Lynn Abbe

I searched the 1910 Pere Cheney census and found a "country school teacher" by the name of Minnie Cribbins? married to a William Cribbins?. She was 20 at the time, born in Ohio and was only married for a year. They had no children. He worked for the railroad. Hope this helps.

Just found another country school teacher on the same census. This one is an Ethel O. Love who is 22 years old and not married. She was born in Michigan and is of German descent. Those are the only two teachers in Beaver township in 1910. Sorry I didn't check the whole census before posting the first message.

I just found your message and hope you still have the picture of Minnie (Florence). Yes, she was married to William Arthur Cribbins, and they did have a son, David A. Cribbins, b 1911 in Michigan. According to census records, Minnie married Hiram and/or Jesse Penn after her divorce from William.
Would love to share information with you. Just started researching the Cribbins for my brother-in-law. Minnie was his great grandmother.

Happy Hunting ... Maria
