Hello,

I have ancestors that originated from the Isle of Colonsay, Scotland came to Canada and somehow ended up in Chippewa, MI. I have found them in the 1910 Thirteenth Census of the United States Michigan, Chippewa Sheet 7B
Donald McMillan, wife Florence with children Malcolm, Donald & John. Malcolm was born in the 'soo' Michigan.

I would be very interested in how they came to be in the U.S. , why and for how long.

I would appreciate any information anyone is willing to share.

Have have relatives from Canada Donald and Alexandrina they had a son name John MacMillan went to Alpena. Have some information on Alexander and Mary MacMillan a brother of Donald they emigrated at the same time and settled on 10.8 Kenyon Twp, Glengarry County, Ontario

My father knew a Jack McMillan, or MacMillan (not sure of spelling)in the Sault St. Marie, MI. He would have been born c. 1903. They were best friends. Jack married "Bert"; later they lived in Detroit area. Had two sons. If this sounds like your family I may be able to find more on Jack.
