Died Thursday evening, December 3, 2009 at Borgess Medical Center. He was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on June 7, 1953 the son of Walter E. and Emily G. (Swinehart) Schewe. Jeff served his country as a member of the United States Army and National Guard. Jeff married Cathy A. Ashley in Coldwater on May 4, 1985; she survives. He is also survived by his four children, Bryan (Darlene) Schewe of Kentucky, Joshua Schewe of Coldwater, Jerry Vond of Adrian and Ashley (Lucas) Earl of Reading; a grandson, Zakhary; his parents; siblings, Michael (Susan) Schewe Sr. of Kalamazoo, Nancy (Thomas) Ruckstaetter of Richland, Patrick (Carol) Schewe of Kalamazoo and many other extended family members and good friends. A true lover of the outdoors, Jeff enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating, swimming, yard work and sitting on his porch. He also enjoyed bowling, selling Tupperware with his wife, being a "computer nerd" and playing the Wii. Jeff had a great love for his family and enjoyed time with his grandson and his dogs, Chip and Bo.
