I have traced an ancestor to Matteson, Branch Co., Michigan. Hiram hackett died 16 September 1884, at this place.
I want to make a trip to Branch County to try and find his burial site as well as an obituary. Is there a newspaper in Branch which would have published obits this early? If so, what would the name of the publication have been.
