I'm new to checking probate records and we're planning a trip to Barry Co. sometime this spring to search these. Is there someone who can tell me if there are indexes to probate records for Barry County? If so, are they at the Probate office, the Hastings Library or somewhere else?

Is an appointment necessary to check any existing indexes?
