Almira '26' years old in the 1850 US Census for Lyme, Jefferson, New York is too young to be David, Nelson's etc. mother.....she probably is a second wife for George. Or this is simply the wrong tree (George could be a brother of David and Nelson...marries Almira and they have two children).

I've contacted the 'Pennock' genealogists/historiians to see about George's Connecticut upbringing.
