Looking for genealogical information on George and Catherine Makel and
their descendants. I believe they came to this country in late 1800s as
adults with six children. One of their sons was Daniel Makel, who was my
grandfather. My understanding is that Daniel was born in Hessen-Nassau,
Prussia in 1881. He came to this country at 9 years of age I think. I am
sure that they are related to Scholls, Schroeders. I think Wentzell was
a city or area where they settled. I'm just beginning this process so I
need some help.
