Not sure you will get this after the long time frame, but I just found your inquiry. My grandmother was Anna Gornikiewicz born in/near Alpena and she had a sister named Nellie (?Annabel). Both died in Alpena many years ago, but I thought they might be related. If you see this, please let me know so we can do more research.
