I am wondering if Malcolm McPhee was related to John Alexander McPhee who, with his family lived in Alpena and was partners with a man named Leavitt in Livery Stables. They had two locations in Alpena for many yrs. Malcolm had a lumber yard during all this time in the same city. John McPhee's mother (I believe her to be his mother but don't know for sure) lived with John and his wife Martha in 1897/98 She died on April 6, 1907. His father was named Peter McPhee I believe. Ancestry says it was Donald McPhee which I believed before I found his mother Orinda living with them. If we connected Malcolm and John A. to each other we could find out the others in the family.
