Died Tuesday, January 9, 2007 in Ypsilanti. David was born January 21, 1950, in Kalamazoo to, Clayton and Ida (Anderson) Alway. In 1972 he earned his Bachelor Degree in Computer Science from the U of M and then his Master Degree in Mathematics from WMU in 1975. He had been employed for over 30 years with the Upjohn Co. as a computer programmer and systems designer. David was active in city government and volunteered on the Otsego City Commission pay board. He was a member of Interfilk. Surviving are five siblings, Martha (Murray Cooper) Alway of Richland, Robert Alway and Daniel (Jill Sutherland) Alway, both of Otsego, Walter (Laura) Alway of Milton, OH and Peter Alway of Ann Arbor; several nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Contributions in memory of David may be made to Interfilk or the charity of your choice.
