I am looking for Native blood that may stem from ancestors that lived in Bay City, Bay County, Michigan in the mid-1800's. This native ancestry may come from a Joseph Duford who was born in Canada and died in Bay City in 1904. His parents are "unknown" in his obituary. The native blood may, however, come from his wife, Harriet (also known as Henriette). Her maiden name is sketchy, but it may be Peltier. In her obituary (1903) her parents' names are poorly written. One looks like J.B. Pettetrir (which I thought may be Peltier) and the woman was Rose S,agoice. If anyone has any information on these people or on places where I might search to clear everything up, I would appreciate it greatly! Thank you for your time!
