Surnames: Carme, Caramanico, Carmanica
Thanks. I have seen this and, like some of the other entries, it gives clues and confuses at the same time. :^) Nature of the beast, as you point out, with these last names. I had thought that Joseph and Laura were Joseph and Luretta, but was thrown off by another directory entry (can't recall what year at the moment) that lists Joseph Carme and Joseph Caramanico living at 81 Devens at the same time. I tend to think it was an error but sometimes I wonder. As for Michele, I think that might be Mike, who shows up earlier. Will just have to continue digging and cross-checking various spellings across time.
